The Pauses hail from Orlando, Florida, but they may as well be honorary Georgians.
The three-piece has spent the last few years touring with Athens legends like Cindy Wilson and Five Eight. But before their foray into the Georgia music scene, the group had already established themselves as one of the premiere indie groups in central Florida.
The Pauses call themselves “indierocktronica,” which actually makes sense when you have a listen. Tracks like “The Leap Year” show off the band’s mastery of synthesizer-focused songwriting. Tierney Tough’s lugubrious vocals melt the walls, pulling everything together into luscious synchronicity.
