Music Minute: Coy Bowles Of Zac Brown Band

Today’s music minute features a member of one of Georgia’s most popular bands. Coy Bowles of the Atlanta-based Zac Brown Band was born on this day in Thomaston in 1979.

 

 

Bowles is a multi-instrumentalist and a songwriter for the band. He’s credited with co-writing three #1 country singles, including this song, "Colder Weather."

 

Bowles graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in Jazz Studies. He joined the Zach Brown Band in 2007 and helped the group become one of the biggest country acts in the nation.

 

The Zac Brown Band will be playing two shows at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in May.
