Today on "Political Rewind," it’s Crossover Day at the Capitol, if a bill doesn't make it out of the House or the Senate by the end of the day, it's dead for this session. We spoke with Lisa Rayam from GPB’s "Lawmakers," and Greg Bluestein of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution for updates on bills that have made the cut and others that probably won’t.
Our panel also discussed last night’s telephone town hall meeting sponsored by U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-Georgia). During the conversation with voters who were able to call in, Isakson discussed plans for the “replacement” of Obamacare, the alleged influence of Russians in the recent presidential election, and whether President Trump should release his income tax records.
Other topics up for discussion today included the District 6 congressional race, and the GOP campaign against the acknowledged front-runner, Jon Ostroff.
