Belief and fact don’t always line up. An Emory University class dives into the convoluted world of conspiracy theories, and how they influence American politics. We talked with instructor Felix Harcourt and two of his students: Carolyn Koehnke and Laura Marquez.

Students at Kennesaw State University are taking journalism to another level. A group of them recently reported on the incarceration of a young man from Georgia named Christopher Thomas, who at the age of 15 was given a 40-year prison sentence for a non-lethal shooting. The reporters presented the story in a virtual world.

As part of our Lessons from Left Field series, we take a look at a new animation class at the Savannah College of Art and Design that uses the Harlem Globetrotters as character inspiration for a special project. Students are tasked with helping develop a new animated series based on the team, which recently relocated its headquarters to metro Atlanta.  We talked about the class with Harlem Globetrotter Moose Weekes, SCAD students Scott Kalison and Carlos Soler, and SCAD's director of sponsored projects Lee Todd.

The showdown between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton is all but official as the nomination phase of election season winds down. Trump has successfully navigated past the misgivings that many had about his campaign and has earned a great deal of political power in the process. Savannah State University professor Robert Smith has observed Trump’s political ascension and fashioned a college course around the braggadocios businessman.
